Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Deena! Deena was previously adopted years ago. Unfortunately, she was found as a stray and is now looking for her forver home once again. Despite being 8 years old, she's still full of energy and love. Food is her ultimate weakness and she's always welcome to what you are willing to give. While she can be selective with other dogs, she tends to do better around males. However, we think she'll shine brightest as the only dog in her home. As for cats, we're uncertain about her compatibility with them. Deena's underbite is the most irresistible pout you've ever seen! It is one you simply have to see in person. Ask to see Deena today!

WHO WE ARE
The Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) (formerly the Tippecanoe County Humane Society) was founded in 1939 by a group of local animal lovers in Tippecanoe County. Since its beginning more than 60 years ago, the organization has been dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community.
We are not a government agency, are not affiliated with any national organization, and we are not a United Way Agency. We are an open-admission shelter and we accept all animals in need, regardless of age, health or adoptability. As a local non-profit we exist through the generosity of our community.
MISSION STATEMENT
We, the Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS), care deeply about the comfort and rights of animals and citizens within our area. As such, we strive to enhance the relationship between people and animals through education, to control the pet population through responsible advocacy, and to provide sanctuary for unwanted, lost, and neglected animals.
NON-PROFIT STATUS
The Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) is an independent, nonprofit agency. We are not funded by any governmental or national animal welfare organization. We are a private, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, relief of suffering among animals and the extension of humane education, and we are governed by a volunteer board of directors.
