My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Chewbacca, I came to EARPS from another rescue in May 2021 with some of my brothers and sisters as a baby! I have since grown up and grown into my own personality!

I would prefer to be a solo bun and can be picky about who I like but can be persuaded with snacks. I would rather you let me come to you instead of trying to pick me up. I do seem to like cats and kids more than most adults or other rabbits! (The cats in 2 separate foster homes became my friends.... so maybe you have a cat for me to play with?) Foster mom says my personality is very-cat like and that I'm not very needy!

I currently have a pen that is sometimes left open to let me roam and I use my litterbox very consistently.

I LOVE spicy hay so make sure you keep your cords protected while I'm out! <br/>

Additional adoption info

Because our animals are in foster homes across central Indiana, we are only able to schedule meet & greets with pre-approved applicants. Anyone interested in adopting from our rescue should start with an application. A volunteer will contact you with followup questions to continue the process.

More about this rescue

Exotic Animal Rescue and Pet Sanctuary (EARPS) is a central Indiana 501C(3) non-profit animal rescue group made up of volunteers working to help exotic pets, small companion animals, and non-traditional pets.

We coordinate with Indianapolis Animal Care Services, the Humane Society, and several shelters throughout Indiana and surrounding states, as well as local veterinary clinics to rescue and care for exotic pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, reptiles, birds and more.

Our network of volunteers and foster homes works to educate on the proper care of exotic pets, and we are working to control the pet population through spaying and neutering our adoptable animals whenever possible.
