My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Friendly, Affectionate, Loyal, Gentle, Playful, Smart

My name is Guerra and I hope to quickly become the best part of your life. I am a female yellow lab mix with a lovely coat and an even better disposition. I'm 2.5 years old and weigh about 30lbs, the perfect medium sized dog for your home. I was found by some very kind people at a local landfill, nursing two different litters of puppies. They have since gone north to get adopted, and now I'm waiting for my chance too. Although I had a rough start in life, I am the sweetest girl and have such a zest for living. I am currently residing in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, but my foster family can arrange a video meet and greet, and I can be transported to pretty much anywhere on the West Coast to be your dog. I will come to you fully vaccinated, sterilized and healthy. I'm a really special girl ready for her forever home. Wouldn't you like to meet and see if we are a match?

More about this rescue

Woofs and Wags Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non-profit dog rescue in San Diego, CA

Woofs and Wags Dog Rescue was founded by volunteers in San Diego. Our goal is to "Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome" rescued dogs from San Diego and Baja California.

We love Baja and understand that it is a struggle for some of the people to provide a proper home and care for their dogs. We rescue dogs that are running through traffic, starving on the streets and have no one to care for them. Sadly, many are in poor condition and need medical care. We provide that care with the help of volunteers and veterinarians on both sides of the border. Our adoption fees are used to pay for the care of these pups.

Our dogs and puppies are kept in loving foster homes until they find their forever homes. If you see a dog/puppy you would like to meet, we will put you in touch with the foster family. We also do adoption events around San Diego, please check our website for upcoming events.

Our "Baja Blends" as we like to call them make wonderful pets and will shower you with love to show you how grateful they are to be in a loving home.

We are most grateful to those who adopt a dog that has been rescued and especially one of ours.
