My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Go Tigers! Actually, our Auburn has found it hard to keep up on the college football stats from her kennel. This girl needs a home and an ESPN cable package stat!! And really, if you’re not a football family, Auburn will adjust. Real Housewives? Sure. Dancing with the Stars? Yep. Obscure foreign documentaries? Everyone has their limit…

Auburn was found as a stray but quickly endeared herself to everyone at the shelter. Auburn also spent over a month in a foster home with one of our amazing volunteers- here’s what they said:

“I fostered Auburn from 7/10-8/21. She’s been a gem; the easiest shelter dog that I’ve fostered! Auburn is housebroken andknows to use the doggie door. Even better, she does not have storm/separation anxiety as I witnessed during a nasty monsoon. As far as toys vs shoes, she loves her chew toys and showed zero interest in shoes, etc. Auburn is EXTREMELY affectionate and wants to be with her person. She was very well behaved and showed absolutely no interest in my two male dogs. Auburn is a sweetheart of a dog…again, the easiest dog that I’ve ever fostered!!!”

We’d say that’s a pretty rave review for this sweet lady! Here’s what some of her other friends at the shelter had to say:

“Auburn and I went on a hike today and it couldn’t have been a more enjoyable outing. She is good in the car, walked at a steady pace on the trails, ignored mountain bikes and only glanced at other dogs we saw.”

“It`s always a good night when I get to walk Auburn. Just looking at her makes me smile. She is such a little cutie and still has a good attitude after all these long months. I stop lots of times to make her endure my kisses and snuggling. This last time I took her out we ran for a tiny bit, but I gave out way before she would have. She would make a great running partner. I adore Auburn and enjoy any time I get to be with her.”

“Auburn is such a joy to walk. She is very calm on her walks, loose leash walking. I have to slow my pace down to keep from walking ahead of her. She just moseys along and it`s so nice to see her so relaxed away from the shelter. I stop and give her pets which she enjoys. She is such a well-behaved girl the entire walk. I wish that she could be my walking partner for the whole day. I have become very fond of this sweet girl and enjoy her very much.”

“I have been walking Auburn regularly and she has become a favorite companion. She relaxes over the course of our walk around the l
