My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

This beautiful 'lil girl is Minnie a/k/a 'Duckie' (her two-legged foster sister named her). Minnie is tiny but she’s the best 'lil guard dog you will ever have! She’s very timid at first; however, once she comes out of her shell she will be your little shadow for life. She’s the perfect companion when you want to do movie night, morning tea in your garden, go for a drive or just want to be lazy on the couch. Minnie loves to hang out with her hoo-sister during movie nights. Her foster mommy loves to pick her up and smother her with kisses. She’s absolutely adorable!

Minnie is good with other pups and has now learned to enjoy the good life provided to her in her ATDR foster home. She is precious beyond words. The perfect home for her would be with a retired person or someone who works from home who can be at home with her to share the days. Minnie must have a home with no younger children; older gentle, responsible teenagers would be ok.

If you're looking for a wonderful senior girl to love and share the good things in life with, please submit an adoption application for Minnie. With a few days or more of patience while she gets to know you, she'll move right into your home and heart.

More about this rescue

All Texas Dachshund Rescue, Inc., is made up of a group of volunteers whose primary goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home disabled and otherwise endangered Dachshunds who have found themselves homeless for one reason or another. It is our policy that no dogs will be adopted out without first being spayed or neutered, have had all vaccines updated, are heartworm negative, are on heartworm preventative, and have had all other health issues we consider important to the pet’s life addressed that we are able.

All incoming Dachshunds will be placed in temporary foster homes, where they will be evaluated while living indoors with the foster families in a safe and nurturing home environment, until such time as they are ready to be placed in a loving, adoptive, forever home.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
