My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie is very lovable and we don't understand why he's still here! He nuzzles in to pets on the bridge of his nose and is quite the character when it's veggie time! Come in and meet him, you'll fall in love with this chunk.

Guinea pigs are personable, communicative and enjoy interaction with their family members. With good genes, a proper diet, a clean and spacious habitat, and daily mental and physical stimulation, their lifespan can reach 5-7 years. An ideal diet would include limitless hay and water, pellets, and daily veggies. Most guinea pigs do very well with children, providing the parents teach proper handling and supervise interactions as guinea pigs are small, therefore fragile, pets.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
