This is Shasta! A loveable ball of energy with the most bubbly personality. Shasta had a rough go at life with some skin issues and neglect. She was found with awful skin infections and almost no hair. She is now looking great and looking for a home to call her own. Shasta definitely has a lot of energy and loves playing with her foster siblings. She'd do best in a house with a dog that is her size or bigger and that matches her energy and loves to wrestle but is somewhat submissive. Shasta can be pretty possessive over her toys/bones. Shes not usually mean about it, but will take away toys from the other dogs if they have something she wants. Because of this we also feed her separately from the other dogs just to prevent any issues, but she has never actually shown food aggression. She also loves to cuddle in the recliner or on the couch with her people and give all the kisses you allow her to. She doesn't mind the cats and will try to play with them but listens when told no and to leave them be. Shasta might be too much for real little kids with her energy, but loves kids and with some training would be great! She rides amazing in the car and will usually just lay down and sleep. Shasta has been to public events with other dogs around on leashes and has done wonderful and is very well behaved. Shasta is housebroke and will go to the door when she has to go out. She does well in her kennel and will walk right in especially for a treat and sleeps in it all night. Shasta still has a lot of puppy in her and needs someone who will have patience with her. She is a very smart girl and picks up on things really fast. We have been doing shorter periods of her being left alone and out of the kennel and she is getting better. Shasta is very smart and LOVES food, she learns very quickly with positive reinforcement and treats. Shasta would be great for any family that enjoys the outdoors as her favorite things are to be laying in the grass basking in the sun and sitting in a lawn chair around a camp fire. Shasta does walk really nice on a leash too. If you think your home would be a good fit, apply to meet her today!
