My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🫶🏼UPDATE: beau is now thriving in a foster home with his five fur siblings and his foster parents. Beau is beyond happy to finally be in a home and is the best boy. He loves to play with his foster siblings and follow his parents around the house. 🫶🏼

Meet Beau, a special pup with an extraordinary story. Beau started his life as part of an accidental litter, born because his mom wasn’t spayed. Despite his rough beginning, Beau’s resilience shines through.

Beau came into rescue a bit older than the cute, roly-poly puppies, so he didn’t get as much attention from adopters. He spent several months in a kennel through no fault of his own. He had a foster who loved him, but life’s demands meant he didn’t get all the attention and outlets he needed.

We invested in a board and train program for Beau, where he learned valuable manners and skills hoping it would make him more desirable for a potential foster or adopter. But once his training was over, we had no foster for him, so he ended up back in boarding, where he got along great with other dogs, but was a little too enthusiastic about food around his furiends. He now lives in a foster home with 5 other dogs , but Beau is now craving the love and attention of a forever home.

Beau is people-oriented, food, and treat motivated, and an ideal adventure buddy. He gets along with everyone but does need clear structure and boundaries for his higher energy level. Beau is strong-willed and would thrive with an owner who can provide him with the attention, love, and structure he needs to be a fantastic family dog.

He’s already house-trained and knows how to use a doggie door. He sleeps great in his crate overnight and has never had an accident. He knows how to sit and is working on his manners and leash walking and improving fast!
