This handsome boy is on the shy side and a quiet home would be ideal for Corduroy to learn to trust his new adopters. He did well in a former foster home, taking a little while to warm up and then would sit on his foster's lap and purr. With patience and love, Corduroy will become a great companion and a loyal friend.
Corduroy is 11 months old.
Location: Foster home
Corduroy's adoption fee has been covered by a generous donor. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting Corduroy, please call the shelter to make an appointment or complete an adoption application on our website. www.helpingstrays.org

We welcome you to stop by our facility located at 4221 Hanover Road in Columbia, IL.
We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.
Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.
Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
