This handsome boy is on the shy side and a quiet home would be ideal for Corduroy to learn to trust his new adopters. He did well in a former foster home, taking a little while to warm up and then would sit on his foster's lap and purr. With patience and love, Corduroy will become a great companion and a loyal friend.

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
