Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Betty and Newton were found abandoned and terrified in a backyard. Fortunately rather than throwing them out again, their finder reached out, and they came to Cameron Animal Hospital and an amazing foster home. Although they were scared when they were first found, they have settled in amazingly well, and they are ready for their forever homes. They can be adopted together or separately.
Betty is a sweet 1 year old girl who is always calm and gentle. She likes people and other animals and will make a great addition to almost any home. Betty is completely healthy, and her adoption includes her full series of DHLPPi (distemper), Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines; her heartworm and tick-bourne disease test; spay; microchip; and 30 days of insurance.
Betty can be shy when she first meets new people, but she settles in quickly. and as she starts to trust you, her true cuddly, loving nature shines through. Betty loves to snuggle, and will make a great couch companion. Betty is always gentle with other animals, and is immediately great with other dogs. She loves to play, but has a moderate energy level (not the hyper energizer bunny level that some terriers have). Betty is always gentle with people, and is good with children, but still finds loud noises and sudden movements intimidating, so a home with extremely hyper and active children may be too much for her.
Betty and Newton are wonderful together, but do not need to be adopted together. Betty would thrive in a home with other animals, but that is not a requirement. Betty would enjoy a backyard, but she is also good for walks. She is working on her crate training; she barks for several minutes when she first goes in the crate, but then settles down and chews on her toys or takes a nap. However that should be a consideration for anyone who lives in an apartment. Betty is also working on her house training, and had made huge progress. She only has a few accidents per week, and is improving on a daily basis.
