Wonder’s adoption donation is $325 and he is being fostered in the Canton/Massillon, Ohio vicinity. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. He has also had a dental cleaning with extractions. Wonder requires a home with a strong vet history due to his previous neglect.
Wonder came into rescue after a local shelter reached out to us because he had come in as a stray and needed additional medical attention and recovery time than they could provide. He has made incredible progress in rescue. Wonder has faced some challenges head on and he is still the happiest boy. All he wants is to be with his person. Wonder is sight impaired and takes some daily, inexpensive drops for his eyes. He does well walking on a leash and loves to be with his chosen person (his foster mom). Wonder is still landmarking his foster home and learning his way around but he asks for help from his pawrents if he cannot get to his favorite spots. It may take some time for him to get accustomed to his surroundings so a good routine and permanent space layout will make him feel extra comfortable. He loves to be with his person so someone who is home most of the day is ideal, though he fares well on his own for short periods of time. He loves treats, food and peanut butter and likes exploring the yard. Wonder does very well on housetraining if kept on a schedule.
