Macy's adoption donation is $375 and she is being fostered in the Mansfield, Ohio area. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, dhlpp, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. She has also had a dental cleaning with extractions. Macy requires a home with a strong, verifiable vet history, a secure, physically fenced yard and a companion dog of similar size/energy in the home.
Macy came into rescue from a commercial breeder and like most mill dogs, she was a very shy and scared little lady. She has made incredible progress in rescue and has learned to love being outside in the yard. She has very good potty manners provided she is kept on a schedule. Macy's leash skills have improved nicely. She is still hesitant to be picked up but has improved nicely. Lots of patience is needed with her. She loves her foster sister & camps out with her on the couch or our bed. Macy does require a companion dog as she loves to snuggle with a buddy. She loves soft toys and soft treats broken into small pieces. Macy gets along with all of our dogs. Due to Macy's neglect and lack of vet care, she should have a soft food diet because of the bone loss she experienced in her jaw.
