My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm Drake! I'm just a young pup, full of energy and always ready for a good game of fetch. I've got smarts too, you know. I've already mastered 'sit', 'stay', and 'paw'. Goofy? You bet! I can make you laugh with my silly antics. I love to play but when it's time to wind down, I'm all about the cuddles. I promise to keep you warm on cold nights and be your loyal companion through thick and thin. I'm just a bundle of love waiting for my forever home. If you're looking for a best friend who's playful, smart, and affectionate, then I'm your guy!

What my foster parent says about me:
- Fully potty trained
- LOVES to snuggle, prefers to lay with you and just be touched
- loves to play and be around other dogs, kids, people
- does chew a lot, prefers non-rawhide bones and dog toys (luckily just destroys the toys and not anything he's not supposed to)
- still a timid walker and wants to check everything out
- he's very strong
- Very smart...has basic commands: sit, wait, shake, come...working on down and off. Has also learned to let himself inside from the backyard!!! :)
- he does NOT like being in the crate. Barks quite a bit when I have to leave him. I've been working on leaving him out if I just leave for a few minutes here and there. He does well as long as he has a bone to chew.
- very food motivated*

As always, introductions to existing family members should be done slowly and over time. Our adoptions team will give you suggestions on how to introduce your new family member! Visit anytime! The Adoption Center is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12pm-5pm. Appointments are not required for adoptions!

Drake is currently available from a loving foster home. Please email bspcafoster@gmail.com to coordinate a time for a meet and greet!
