My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woof! Hey there, future family! I'm Dandi, a survivor with a heart full of love! I've conquered the pesky heartworms, and now I'm on a quest for my forever home. Picture this: cozy snuggles on lazy Sundays, long walks filled with tail wags, and a lifetime of unconditional love. Despite my past struggles, I'm a resilient pup with a heart as big as my dreams. I'm not asking for much - just a warm bed, a kind hand to scratch behind my ears, and a heart that's ready for an everlasting friendship. Let's create paw-some memories together! If you're ready for a loyal companion, look no further. Adopt me, and let's start our happily ever after!

More about this shelter

Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is dedicated to providing animals the tender, loving care and attention they need to become adoptable companions.

From our humble beginning in 1951, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has grown to meet the needs of homeless dogs and cats. Since moving to our state-of-the-art facility at 1300 West Conway in Harbor Springs, Michigan, in 2001, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has sterilized more than 10,000 animals owned by community members and has placed more than 5,000 animals into loving homes.

In addition to being an adoption center, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society offers a variety of proactive programs to help shelter animals become adoptable companions including the “Pit Stop Program,” the “Ruff-to-Ready Scholarship Program,” “Spay-it-Fourward,” the “Animals Need to Give Everybody Love (ANGEL) Program,” boarding, grooming, daycare, and a full-service veterinary clinic.
