Meet Coco. This beautiful girl has a very expressive face.
She is built short and stout and comes with a big personality! We estimate her to be 2-3 years old.
Coco didn't have the best start prior to coming to us. She was bred in order to sell her puppies and lived most of her life in a crate.
Luckily her owner made the decision to surrender her so she could find a better home.
Coco loves people. She wants to hang out on the couch with you, lay on the bed, or be wherever her person is. She wants to be wrapped up in a blanket and snuggle. Coco is medium energy. She gets the zoomies occasionally and requires a few short walks during the day, but otherwise she is content to relax. She loves laying out in the yard with her belly up for maximum sunshine exposure!
She loves toys, bones, and anything with floof inside that she can tear up and make "snow." Chewing bones and toys helps her relax and eases her anxiety so she spends a lot of time on that hobby.
Coco was not socialized as a puppy and never lived with other dogs.
She is nervous around other dogs and does not care for them.
She can walk on leash with other dogs and pass by other dogs when she is out on a walk.
We are working on her confidence, but as of now she isn't comfortable being loose in the house with other dogs.
We recommend her as an only pet. No cats for this girl either. We understand she will not fit into every family and "only pets" can be hard to place, but when you open your heart and your home to this type of dog, they are so grateful! The mission of One Love Animal Rescue, Inc. is to help abandoned, neglected, abused and unwanted pets by partnering with shelters, rescue groups and the community to facilitate adoption of these animals into permanent and loving homes.
Our goal is to save one life at a time by promoting local animal shelter adoptions and raising awareness in our community about responsible pet ownership. We strive to highlight the importance of spaying or neutering pets which will aid in the reduction of overpopulation. We believe that appropriate and positive reinforcement training and socialization of these shelter animals will lead to well-adjusted family pets, thereby decreasing the number of abandoned animals in shelters.
