Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pittsburgh PA 15216, George - 6 year old male Newfoundland (UTD/neutered). George lives in the city of Pittsburgh in a home that doesnt have fence and George has lunged at folks on walks and got loose and nipped at a dog once.
George is a GREAT DOG!!! He is lazy but loves his walks and adores his people. He loves car rides very much too. However, George wasnt properly socialized early on. So he can be fearful of folks and untrusting to strangers. He loves HIS people and once a proper introduction of home guest, he is fine too.
George needs a loving experienced home with a FENCED IN BACK YARD, no other pets nor any children. He is mouthy with strangers and nipped a woman at a dog-friendly restaurant.
EMAIL FROM FAMILY: is a 145lb, six year old beautiful Newfoundland who will be the best part of your day, everyday. Although six, our vet said he is a very young six and is in great shape! George loves to be with his people, and will follow you room to room, he has slight separation anxiety (howls when home alone) but is completely house trained and always so happy to greet you at the door. He is a dream on the leash but pulls towards other dogs half the time. He doesn’t seem interested in the deer in our backyard, unsure of smaller animals and cats. He is happy to just sit outside. He LOVES car rides, again just happy to be with his people. He doesn’t beg too much at the table, he will lay at your feet, but he does beg for and love popsicles! He enjoys treats and the occasional bone, but for the most part doesn’t seem interested in toys. He is low energy and sleeps most of the day, also doesn’t need to be crated at night. He actually HATES A CRATE. We have a small pool he likes and believe he would love to go swimming in a larger pool. We think the best home for George would be a slow paced life, with a fence where he can safely hangout outside. A calm house without other pets or children would be best, and an owner who will keep George from stressful situations as he was not properly socialized growing up. We love our silly, happy bear SO much and wish we were the best fit for him, he is just the most wonderful dog. “
