THE KENNEL STAFF WILL BE TAKING APPLICATIONS ON ME AND PICKING THE MOST APPROPRIATE HOME. Hi, I'm Slick. I am a very active dude looking for a home ready to take on my high drive. Here is a little about me: Want a GRC Dog Sports beast in a tiny package? Size or breed restrictions? Slick has all the drive you could want for drive sports and is in all ways a true terrier. 3-year-old Black and White neutered male Jack Russell Terrier. Slick was surrendered because he would redirect on his housemates during high-arousal times (playing with toys in the yard, people coming to the door, feeding time, etc.), resulting in a few multi-Jack Russell dog fights and stitches on 3 occasions. Other than that, he is a truly nice little terrier who is completely tug and ball obsessed. He is neutral to other dogs on leash, and was reported by the owners to be dog-selective, generally preferring to interact with people. He is good with all humans of all types, has experience going to dog sport events (agility trials and JRT racing), and would display the same arousal leaking issues there if not managed. If managed with food and training he did fine. HIGH food and toy drive. Great snuggler once his needs are met. Will play literally anytime, anywhere. Will not quit. We recommend he be the only dog. He is still working on housetraining but making good progress.
