From her foster mom: "The most beautiful little baby with soulful brown eyes and a tender kind heart – that’s our sweet Mara! This girl is perfect for anyone looking for a young dog who is also wise beyond her years… or I guess, months! Mara has been self potty trained since day 1 of arriving, quiet and calm in the house and smart as a whip! She is such a breeze to care for and an AMAZING work-from-home or take-to-work companion because she's very happy to entertain herself chewing on her bones and playing with her stuffies. She has learned to do a nice Sit and Down for treatos, is crate trained (infact LOVES her crate), sleeps through the night and is currently working on recall and leash walking. She is still growing into her long legs, and is a bit of cutesy Bambi on leashed walks, but with a front-clip harness is making great strides 😊 Oh, and she is great in the car too! Loves her car rides! Even though she now lovvvvvves her foster fur siblings, she can be a little cautiously optimistic when meeting new dogs… but people? Not a chance! She will run upto you with her lanky legs prancing along in her adorable clumsy puppy style and just melllllllllt into your arms, especially if you’re crouching down and calling her over! Mara goes to doggy daycare few times a week for some added dog socialization where I'm told she’s opening up more and more with each visit and letting herself be a social and goofy puppy as she should be! As much as she loves to run and play with her fur friends, she definitely is more human centered and would love be part of a household with lots of humans - especially with some littles! She would thrive in a home where her hoomans are around more often than not, a home with children and bonus would be another dog pal to learn from and wrestle with! She is a very sweet and loving girl and it’s quite mission: impossible to not fall MADLY in love with her! She is going to grow up to be the sweetest gentle giant, i just know it 🥹"
Mara has been microchipped, health checked, and up to date on all vaccinations and is more than ever ready to find her furever home! Thanks to her AMAZING foster family, she had the softest landing and has learned a lot of skills and basic training and how it feels to be a cherished member of a family.
