My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy, folks! The name's Memphis, but you won't find me in Tennessee -- I'm here at the shelter looking for my furever home! I'm quite timid and cautious of new people and places, so I'm looking for a home that will respect my boundaries and give me the time I need to come out of my shell and learn that the world isn't so scary. Due to my shy nature, I would thrive best in a home without young kids. But given time and a few of your tastiest treats, I'll be sure to warm up and show you what a charming and loving boy I am! My dream is to cuddle with my people on the couch and go on long walks on the range, and I would also love to improve my skills with you! Training would be a great way to help boost my confidence, and along the way our bond will become stronger than ever. I might be willing to have a canine sibling, but we would have to meet first! So if you've got room in your heart for a southern dream like me, then come down to the Lisa Mitzen Animal Care Center in Menands to meet me, today!
