Hi there, my name is Doodle Bear, and yes, I do resemble a cuddly teddy bear! I'm a friendly 5-year-old labradoodle, weighing in at a cozy 60 pounds. My sister and I found our way to Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue because our previous owner, who was in her 80s and battling dementia, couldn't care for us properly due to her health challenges. Despite my past, I'm overflowing with love for people. I'm house-trained, at least I was in a temporary home, and I'm a pro on the leash during walks. However, because of my experiences, I'd prefer to be the only furry friend in the household. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's eager to share their heart with a new human friend, I'd be thrilled to meet you! All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.

Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.

If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment. 530-895-8888

Step 2: FILL OUT AN APPLICATION

call to schedule an appointment 530-895-8888

Step 3: APPROVAL, PAYMENT, & PICKUP
Your new family member can be picked up if you're approved and the animal is spayed or neutered. Payment of the adoption fee is required to reserve the pet. Adoption fees vary for each dog, puppy, cat and kitten.

More about this rescue

Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all breed, NO KILL, animal rescue organization, incorporated in August 2015. We are a primarily volunteer driven group with a number years experience with animals and rescue. Our mission is to rescue, foster, rehabilitate and rehome, abandoned, abused and unwanted animals in Willows and Chico, California.

We rescue animals at risk of euthanasia in shelters, as well as those surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect. We are committed to helping the most needy, as well as the readily adoptable.
