What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Sammy, an 11-year-old boxer/pit mix that came to our home through no fault of her own. Her owner (one of our closest family friends) passed away in a motorcycle accident in May. We agreed to help rehome her as we didn't want her even more confused by being placed in a shelter. She is full of energy, loves to play and run, and act as a true companion. Our friend was an avid outdoorsman devoted to Sammy, so she is accustomed to being a close companion. She enjoys being outside running or playing to burn off energy, going to the dog park or having land to run on, camping, hunting…you name it, if it’s outdoors, she loves it! She has been great with our young kids (4, 2, and 2 weeks) and our other two dogs - but we cannot attest to how she is around cats. What little paperwork we were able to find does indicate she had her vaccinations and dental in March 2023. Please help us honor our friend by giving his best furry friend a perfect forever home!
