My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How about a little pittie girl who wears a permanent smile on her face? If this alone isn’t precious enough, how about that special attention from her that makes you feel like you are all that matters in this world? She gives as much as she likes to get. Attention from people is Petunia's most precious resource and she's quite stingy when it comes to sharing her favorite people with another furry friend😊 She loves to be touched, and happy to be picked up but be careful not to have anything in your hands other than treats. She is weary of objects in hands. Breaks our hearts to think that some of these objects may not have been too kind to her :/ She loves to be in the same space or area as her favorite people. She cries if she can’t see you :/ Someone who is not comfortable having a 50lb dog sit on their chest would be out of luck with Petunia. If you do not like kisses you are in for a bad time because she gives them abundantly. She's not afraid to use you as a pillow and may even snore. If you would be so kind as to tuck her in her crate (or your bed), pet her and sing her to sleep, you will be rewarded with the most precious smile as she slips away into a heavy slumber <3 If someone is looking for a guard dog they'd best look elsewhere. She’ll yell at strangers walking through the yard until they turn back around to pet her. Her bark is not very intimidating, but she may give some whiny, pained screams if there are people she can't get to.
Petunia loves her toys, particularly cobbing on stuffies and gnawing on rubber ones. Most often she'll play with them rolling around, rubbing against the mattress against the wall, and dragging her tummy on the ground. She has a great nose for sniffing out treats and food in snuffle mats, grass, and pockets. She likes blueberry Crunchy-O's, peanut butter and oat Zuke's as well as a few odd other things. She knows sit and doesn’t complaint when it is time to go in her crate. If taken out every 3-4 hours, Petunia is accident free. Petunia walks well on a leash. She has no fear of cars, but occasionally, she will lunge at a motorcycle if they are too close or too fast. Oh, and no fear of thunder. If Petunia paces and fusses, that is her cue to use the bathroom. She is quite particular with her ‘spot’. If she can't settle, walk her until she goes. Petunia is happy to say hello to dogs. She'll even initiate play with dogs through the fence. Petunia knows what a bath is but isn’t crazy to have one!
Petunia is about 2 years old, 50lb Staffordshire. She is looking for a family she could be a constant companion to. She loves it when her humans either stay at home or work from home😊 Petunia makes a great ESA.
