Dogs? I've been reactive to other dogs in the shelter and may prefer female dogs over male dogs. Please bring any existing dogs in the home to come meet me to see if we're a match!
Cats? Due to my size, I may make kitties uncomfortable. I have no known history with cats and will need close supervision and slow introductions to any cats that live in the home.
Kids? I have been a friendly guy here at the shelter but may not enjoy very hyper young kiddos. Please bring all kids in the home to meet me and see if we get along. (8+)
Anything else you'd like us to know, Max? I would thrive in a home that has experience with the Rottweiler breed and their specific needs and quirks. I've been through a lot and would love to recover from my surgeries in my new forever home!

Shelter Hours are 11 AM - 6 PM every day of the week.

Directions from east or west: From the east, take the Beltline or surface streets to Barger Rd, or West 11th, and head west to Greenhill Rd. Turn left on Greenhill Rd (from Barger) or right from West 11th; we're approximately a mile down the road. From the west, take Hwy. 126 to Greenhill Rd., turn left at Greenhill Rd.

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.
Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.
Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
