My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful Blondie! Just look at those eyes!! She needs to gain a little weight and we are working on that now. Blondie is a very sweet 2 year old Coonhound. She is friendly with people but a little selective with her doggie friends so she will have to meet all housemates before she's adopted. Blondie needs some obedience training to help her show what a good girl she can be! She was found in Westfield Township on 8/2/2023 with No Collar, No ID, No Microchip. She was found very near to the same area that the male Coonhound, Dagwood, was found. Possibly they were running together and got separated. Since Blondie is a stray , we don't know how she is with kids or cats. Come meet Blondie at the Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Gilead, Ohio 419-946-1747

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
