Chase is super friendly and has a heart of gold. It’s filled with a lot of love and affection that he hands out to everyone he meets. He’s a very happy boy, and if you see him without a smile it’s probably because he’s making a funny face. He has the kind of personality it’s hard not to fall in love with. He’s both easygoing and fun-loving. He has a medium energy level and doesn’t feel the need to go over the top with exercise. He also enjoys relaxing and being pet. He can keep himself entertained too if need be! Chase is a great leash walker and doesn’t pull on it in the slightest. He’s really good at sitting on command, and he takes his treats gently from your hand. He’s been great at attending in shelter playgroups with other dogs, and would love to have them as companions and playmates.

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday 5 pm to 7 pm. We are also open on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
