My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to ROXY & BANDIT who are 3.5-year-old brother and sister -- best friends who love each other very much. These two are VERY sweet, very loving, and a little silly. Due to a life situation, their mama is having to give them up and is absolutely heartbroken. This sweet Australian cattle dog pair needs a new together-forever home. The dogs must absolutely not be separated - they are even troubled if one has to go to the vet without the other.

Both dogs have obedience training and are very nicely mannered. When home alone (or even when they're not alone), they have free roam of the house and are not destructive; they are perfect indoor dogs. That said, Bandit might clean your kitchen counters if you forget to put some food away :) A crate is kept available for the two at all times (door always open) as it's their cozy place for napping. During a storm, mama puts a blanket on the crate and the dogs seem to find comfort, their safety from the storm.

Bandit & Roxy are good with all people - even good with smaller children. However, we prefer no small children in the home, our standard policy. Both dogs love kisses and hugs and are generous with them to their humans. They love to wrestle and play together, and need a decent sized dog-friendly yard of their own where they can romp and play and exercise to their hearts' content. Brother Bandit is a little more energetic. While Roxy is also playful, she is so sweet and mellow... loves to be loved, and tries to convince you to give too many treats. They complement each other sweetly and nicely and will fit easily into any home with open arms. This beautiful pair is looking for an active home where the people are around to give affection and exercise. They enjoy walks or jogging (the person(s) should be strong enough to manage the dogs who are 55-60 pounds each) and would appreciate your sharing play-time with them in the yard as well. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request one.

More about this rescue

We are a small foster-based group who helps owners who can no longer care for their dogs, or if someone passes and there is no family to take the dog, we can place the dog in a foster home, vet the dog, and then after personality assessment, will make the dog available for adoption.

Also, based on foster availability, we take in stray dogs and diligently look for owners. We have a good track record for reuniting pets with their families, but in the cases where no owner surfaces, we vet the dogs and prepare them for adoption, all while they are in a safe and loving foster home.
