My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ash is an easy-going, calm gal who is shy around new people but is very loving when she gets to know you. She loves chin and tail scratches which quickly wins her over. If that doesn't work, food definitely will. Ash loves helping in the kitchen and is very vocal about it. She enjoys hanging out near the windows and will be the best neighborhood watch cat you know. Ash has perfect house manners with no litter box issues. Ash is cat friendly but would also probably do well as the only pet in the home.

Ash is 3 years old.

Ash's adoption fee is sponsored by a generous donor. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting Ash, please visit her at the shelter during open hours or fill out an online application on our website.

More about this shelter

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
