Chuck is a sweet, but shy guy who had a really hard start to his rescue journey. He was found dumped with 23 other cats in a single carrier on a hot hot summer day. Thankfully, he is with us now and is ready to find his permanent home. He is available for adoption at Whiskers & Wine at 932 Kenmore BLVD in Akron.

Just Cats Rescue was started in late 2022 out of a need to shift the mentality around cat rescue in Summit County, OH. Many rescues nationally participate in closed adoptions that shut many marginalized communities out of the ability to love and care for a pet. At Just Cats, we aim to do things differently. We use resources crafted by the Humane Society of the United States, Human-Animal Support Services, American Pets Alive, and Maddie's Fund to revolutionize our adoption processes in a trauma-informed and person-forward way for the betterment of all felines in northeast Ohio.
