Meet Baloo!

Baloo is a lovable and energetic pup excited about finding his forever family. He's an extroverted young dog who enjoys long walks, play dates, and time at the dog park. At home, Baloo likes to cuddle, figure out how to get treats out of his Kong, practice commands, and take long naps. His substantial progress on learning basic commands and household routines makes clear that he is very smart. He's also taken well to his crate, always happy to go in for some treats. Baloo has sometimes shown nervousness around men (though with patience and treats he can get used to anything!) and likes to keep everyone notified when he sees people or pets outside, so he would do well in a quiet neighborhood. Baloo would make an ideal pet for any home with love, affection, and energy to spare.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Go meet their pets

Meet our pets at the shelter Tuesday - Friday from 12pm
m to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm, Sunday 10am-3pm. Appointments available Tuesday-Friday mornings with an adoption specialist.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
