Meet Basil
Basil is a 3 month old (June 2023) blue point, mitted, Purebred ragdoll with stunning blue eyes. Basil is the chunky monkey of the ragdoll litter. He is almost twice the weight of his sister and we expect him to grow to be a big, fluffy boy. Basil loves his canned food and will give his siblings a growl when he eats. He comes when called (most likely because he thinks it means food). Basil is outgoing and purrs when you touch him. He loves pets and is often in the same room as his people. Basil is pretty much bullet proof, being raised in a home with other cats, dogs and older kids. He will do great in any home. Nothing seems to phase him. He loved to chase his siblings through the house.
Basil is a social kitten and must have another young cat as a companion. He would love to go home with one of his brothers Zest or Saffron, or sisters Thyme or Camomile (shy from a previous litter).

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states. Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
All cats are considered mixed breeds unless otherwise stated. As a rescue, we often don’t know a cat’s origins, and do our best to guesstimate their breed. This is not a guarantee. We do get purebreds from time to time and that will be stated in their description if known.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
