My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rufus is a new arrival from Alert Bay where he was picked up roaming the area. He is approx 70 lbs, 5 years old and a quiet gentle soul that has obviously not had the solftest life. He was very sad and almost shut down when we picked him up, but warmed up by the end of the day and quickly became a shadow at our side.

Rufus is a flat coated retriever mix. It doesn't show up well in the photo, but he has brindle on his legs and speckles of light brown and white on his face. He also has a black spotted tongue... which contrary to popular belief does not come from a particular breed, but is comparitable to freckles and is common in labs, retriever and many other breeds.

He is great with dogs (in fact quite submissive) and kids. Cats are unknown. He will be immunized and neutered right away.
