Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue

NEEDS A PATIENT QUIET HOME

Meow! my name is Muffin. My estimated date of birth is 1/1/2021. Muffin is a gentle girl, high energy and loves to play with her bouncy feather rod. She is an athlete and needs room to run and play freely.  but she likes being pet on the top of the head, shoulders back and tail. She is vocal and will let you know when she has had enough or is over stimulated. She loves floor play and we believe in a quiet home she will become a lap cat in the future.

As a victim of neglect and a hoarding situation she requires a home with an experienced cat person and no other pets to be able to break out of her shell and fully decompress. She is very stressed in our busy home but has made huge progress. She mainly stays inside the cat room where the cat trees and litter boxes are but she does venture throughout the home. She has had training with bathing in the kitchen sink, nail trimming and ear cleaning but is still fearful and needs an experienced team for grooming. She has had an infection in her nail bed (dirt can become trapped under nail bed) and paw and needs to be regularly checked for issues. She requires a special diet because she does not like kibble (but will eat some) or wet food. She enjoys baked chicken, ham and steak. She does not eat a lot at a time and we provide her with supplements for added nutrition (Biopel and Lysine). At this time she does not like being picked up off the ground or touched on the face (we believe she was physically abused. She exhibits nervous behavior (pacing, crying, hiding) but really enjoys human interaction and attention. She deserves a quiet but interactive home that will help her decompress and be patient until she can fully heal from her passed trauma.

Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.

We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info. Be sure to check us out on Facebook at  bit.ly/KittyCornerFB and "LIKE" our page and share our posts!
