My story

Hi there, I'm Crew! I'm a young Golden Retriever Rottweiler mix with a personality as golden as my breed suggests. I'm a sweet and cuddly fellow who loves nothing more than snuggling up with my favorite humans. I'm also quite the loyal friend, always ready to stick by your side through thick and thin. I'm friendly to everyone I meet, and my smart mind loves learning new tricks. Playtime is my favorite time of the day, and I can be quite the goofy character when I'm having fun. I'm hoping to find a forever home where I can share all my love and joy. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and sweet companion, I'm your guy!

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested *** for heartworms.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Why adoption is a great option

Crew ~ meet me!, a Southbury Golden Retriever/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Rottweiler for sale in Southbury, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Southbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Rottweiler breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
