My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Bandit! I am 4 months old and I weigh 13 pounds (9/20). I am a happy, friendly boy with a submissive temperament that loves everybody. I especially love to snuggle and will give you lots of love and loyalty in return. I get along great with other dogs of all ages and sizes, cats, and will do well with children. I really like playing with the other dogs in the foster home and with toys. I ride well in the car and I will walk on a leash. I am working on house training. I am not yappy like some small dogs. I am ready and waiting to go to my new forever home - belly rubs are a must!

I was turned into the local county animal shelter as a stray where I spent 10 days waiting for my owner to come and pick me up. They never showed! While I made new friends there with the staff, it was still a scary place! In my videos I look very active, but I was really just so excited to get out of there and back into the sunshine and the grass! I settled down once I got the freedom of being in my new foster home.

I am up to date on my vaccines and I am heartworm negative. I will be seen by a veterinarian before going to my new forever home. The rescue does not neuter pets under 6 months of age because it is healthier for me in my senior years. I will come with my medical records.

I am fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available.

Email is the best method of contact applications can be found on our rescue website. Once an application is approved the phone number for the foster family will be provided.
