My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smokey is a goofy boy! He adores people and loves playing with other dogs. He's friendly to all animals - he's lived with a cat and even a pig! Smokey is deaf and probably has some neurological issues. He can be mouthy and mischievous at times. He needs a family that will give him structure and teach him some boundaries. Smokey likes plaing in the ocean and taking walks, but watch out - he'll lay down and decide he's done if you take him too far! He will insist on sleeping with you, on you and under you at night. He is truly the MOST loving dog ever!

We are a small, open admission shelter on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. We operate a low cost clinic and focus on spay/neuter, vaccine, and wellness visits. We pride ourselves on providing enrichment and quality veteinary care to our animals.
