My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella is a one-year-old English setter mix who is an orphan of Hurricane Katrina.. She was terrified when we first found her in an abandoned house and would not let us up to her, but within 24 hours she warmed up to us and now loves everyone!! Bella is white with tan speckles. She appears to be house-trained, although being stuck in a house for 4 weeks probably did not help with this. She goes to the bathroom in her kennel run only when she has not been taken outside for long periods of time Bella still has a lot of puppy>in her and tends to jump up on people, although we are working on this and she is improving. She is a very smart dog & has already learned a trick where she walks on her back legs. We have been in contact with Bella’s family but they still do not have permanent housing & have given us permission to find her a new home. She is now fully vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, treated for fleas (she had tons of them) and has been dewormed. If you would like to give Bella a second chance at a good life, please contact us.
