Meet Ava!!!
Ave is a 12lb YorkiePoo. Ava is 1yr 4months old(Sept2023). Ava was purchased as a puppy by a family with kids. The family who owned Ava from the time she was 6 weeks old until she was entrusted to APAWS truly did love her. They tried everything for Ava to stay with their family. Unfortunately, Ava just does not like children. She also tends to get stressed with fast movements or grabby hands. After trying everything they could think of, the family came to a very tough decision..Ava needed to find a family that was a better fit for her. That is where we come in.
Although Ava is small, she plays well with all size dogs. The only exception being if the other dog is too rough. Ava has been around cats. She is fascinated by them but does not chase them or hurt them. She absolutely CANNOT go to a home with small children. She does okay greeting children or seeing children in public but having a child in her home is not something she wishes to be a part of. Ava has had basic training and has more classes which were donated by her previous owner to help her fit in with a new family. Ava has an appointment to be spayed the last week of September and after that she will be ready to start looking for her forever home. Please consider opening your heart and home to Ava.
