My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Walter! Walter is a previous graduate of our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer!

Walter is a very fun and active dog. He has a great outlook on life, and always seems to be happy & smiling. He loves people and always wants to meet new ones. He is still a young pup, so he needs lots of activity to keep him busy. He'd make an awesome hiking buddy! He can be a bit stubborn to do his commands, but with a tasty treat he does them almost every time.

Walter really enjoys playing with other dogs. He can be a good middle man for a very hyper dog and a calm dog. He can keep the hyper dog preoccupied so the calmer dog doesn't have to be as bothered by the hyper one.

He does ok in the kennel, and it is recommended he is kenneled when you are gone. Being a puppy, shoes may look enticing to him.

In the past, Walter has been a bit barky at cats when he is in a kennel and they pass by. He also has a pretty high prey drive around other small critters, like bunnies. It would be best if he goes to a home without cats.

Walter is smart, eager to please, and wicked smart. What's better than meeting your favorite buddy just in time for hiking season to start!?! Apply to meet him today!
