You will often find Novy hiding in her cat cube, unsure of the world around her. But if you spend a few minutes with her, you can see her slowly begin to let her guard down. Sit next to her - she will cautiously crawl into your lap, almost afraid to hope that you will be the one. Novy is ready to find a family to call her own. With your support, we can make that happen for her.
11 year old Novy came to the HTAT shelter last fall. During her intake exam, a painful lump on her right side was found. Even though the lump is still small, Dr Nancy decided it was best for Novy to have it removed before it has a chance to cause more harm. A few days before the scheduled surgery, Novy had to be quarantined, taking a toll on her delicate spirit. Finally after 6 long months at the HTAT shelter, Novy has been cleared for adoption again.
We are still waiting to hear back about Novy's new surgery date. So rather than make her wait at the shelter until after the lump has been removed, we decided to find her a loving family as soon as possible. And once her surgery day does arrives, with your help, HTAT will cover the cost, as well as the cost of any follow up care needed. Because, at the end of the day, the best thing for Novy is to be in a home with people who love her. Are you the one Novy has been waiting for?
