My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tally is a Flat Coated Retriever mix; she is approx. three and half years old and full grown at 30 pounds. Tally has very hard start to life. She was rescued off the streets of Mexico where she had been running around for a year. She was starving and people were not nice to her, she was terrified. In May she was rescued by a rescue in Mexico and put in a foster home. In September she became a part of the Luv of Dogz family. Tally is now in a foster home and has a foster mom who loves her, a full tummy, a soft bed and learning about all the good things in life. She is a little bit shy, with time she will adapt. After all the meanness she has lived through, she still likes humans. She loves kisses and hugs. She is a little shy when she first meets you, but as soon as she sees you are a kind person, and feels the love, she becomes comfortable and more relaxed and just wants pets, kisses and hugs.
Tally is sweet, gentle and loving. She is a friendly girl who likes kind people she meets when she is out walking and likes friendly dogs too. She is well behaved and been a pleasure at her foster home. Tally is potty trained and walks great on a leash. She sleeps on her dog bed beside the bed. She is safe and secure first time in her little life.
Tally’s perfect family would be best to have shy dog experience. Also mature older children. (Doors not left open, sudden grabbing, ect.) Tally will need a house with a secure yard for her to explore and be in. Her new family will need to have patience and let Tally become comfortable and continue to grow into her full potential. It would be good for her to have another dog to learn from, but not necessary if given a lot of attention and not alone all day.
Tally had her first spa day, and has a soft shiny charcoal coat. She is ready to start her new life with a family in arizona who will make a life time commitment to her and love her forever. Luvofdogzfund.org/adopt/application
