My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vin, Vin Vin, Vinny, Vinny D, and Vin Diesel are all the names this boy goes by. We've tried to offer the other nickname of Mark Sinclair, but it has yet to seem to stick! Like his namesake, Vinny is strong on the outside and soft on the inside. He will snuggle next to you while you work, follow you around like a puppy, kiss you, and make piggy sounds while enjoying Kongs.

As a puppy, Vin suffered some nerve damage, so he has hyperflexion of his front wrists. All this means is that his wrists and shoulders bend and stretch more than usual. He can still go for walks, play and use stairs but prefers shorter outings or a short rest after a walk. His zoomies are awkward and silly as he can't slow down as quickly, so he would do best around adults and teens.

Vinny is such a smart and snuggly homebody. He loves ear rubs, taste testing (veggies and fruit) while you cook, sleeping close, chewing on Benebones, carrying tennis balls, and doing treat puzzles. And he knows sit, down, place, wait for meals, housetrained, crate trained, leave it, and wait for invitations onto furniture (most of the time).

Vin would be fine as the only dog or with a very well-matched dog with slow and structured introductions. As for kitties, they are a bit too exciting for him. He prefers walks in low-traffic neighborhoods with plenty of open space where he can show off his loose leash walking and eye contact (and hot dog treats) training.

The sweet boy was unfamiliar with the world before coming to APA, so he didn't know how to meet new people. Now he knows that people are great, especially those with treats, because, as we all know, people with treats are fantastic.

If sensitive and snuggly is your thing, this movie star would love to me you! Come meet your new, lifelong friend (and bring treats)! Follow him @runs.ondiesel
