My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Theodore!

This handsome pup is now adoptable, and ready to find his furever home! Theodore came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after he was hit by a car and his hind leg was severely injured. The good news; he's made a full and amazing recovery!

Theodore (or Tito as his fosters fondly call him) may be small but he's convinced he might as well be a Mastiff! This little guy is packed full of charm and love and small-dog energy! His fosters say any toy that he can reach is automatically his favorite toy, but he doesn't let those little legs stop him!

Theodore does well with other dogs and shows playful interest in cats, but any pet in his new family will need to be introduced slowly over time. He will do best in a family with adult adopters or children over the of six that will continue his positive socialization and training.

Theodore is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be scheduled once your online application has been received and approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for an online application.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
