What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Looking for an affectionate kitty who wants to be around you and constantly seeks your attention and approval? Meet Teddy! He's estimated to be 7 years old and was found as a stray living outdoors.
He's super friendly, loving, and vocal. When he's not following you around, he enjoys curling up on his kitty bed and napping. He can be enticed into playing with a cat wand toy and appreciates a good cardboard box. Teddy LOVES treats... any kind will do, he's not picky!
Teddy is listed as 'special needs' because he is FIV positive. FIV compromises the immune system, so it's best for him to stay inside where he won't be exposed to parasites and disease. FIV isn't contagious to humans, but it is contagious to other cats through deep bites. I've never seen him bite a cat, but if you already have a cat in your home, it's possible he could transmit FIV to them. If you're looking to adopt multiple cats, you may consider adopting another FIV+ cat for Teddy to be friends with!
