My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alpine, a spirited and youthful 3-year-old Siberian Husky whose zest for life is as boundless as his breed's storied history. With his stunning coat and keen, mischievous eyes, Alpine embodies the adventurous spirit and striking beauty characteristic of Huskies.

Alpine isn't just about looks; he's a bundle of affection, always eager to express his love. He finds joy in the simplest of things—like sitting at your feet, his gaze locked onto yours, silently asking for a gentle stroke or a loving pat. His sweetness is not just reserved for humans; Alpine is a social butterfly among his canine peers. He approaches playtime with boundless enthusiasm, which might seem a bit much at first. However, once his furry friends understand that it's all in good fun, they're sure to engage in endless games and frolics, with Alpine often leading the charge.

However, it's important to note that Alpine's high prey drive makes him unsuitable for homes with cats or small dogs. His innate instincts mean he's always on the lookout for a chase, making him a perfect companion for more robust playmates who share his vigor and size.

For Alpine, the ideal living situation would offer a secure, fenced-in yard where he can romp and roam to his heart's content, exploring every nook and cranny without any risk of wandering off. Yet, he's equally suited to an active household that can match his energy stride for stride. If you're an avid runner looking for a companion to keep pace with you on your morning jogs or someone who enjoys long, explorative walks in nature, Alpine could be your perfect match. His stamina and love for the outdoors promise to make every adventure more enjoyable.

In essence, Alpine is more than just a pet; he's a loyal friend, a playful spirit, and a devoted companion, all rolled into one magnificent package. He's ready to fill his forever home with laughter, joy, and an endless supply of cuddles. If you're looking for a furry family member who can turn every day into an adventure, Alpine might just be the one waiting to embark on this journey with you.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process begins with the adopter filling out our online adoption application. Vet references are checked first, as we have a stringent policy requiring all current and past pets to have proper vetting provided. After the vet reference is complete, personal references are contacted, and a home visit is scheduled with the adopter. Finally, the adopter is invited to meet all of the dogs that might be a fit for their home.

Fees range from $200 to $400.

All appointments are scheduled between the adopter and one of our adoption counselors, after the application process is completed.

More about this rescue

Canine Pet Rescue Corp (CPR)
is dedicated to reconditioning wayward dogs, inparticular German Shepherd Dogs, with the end goal of placing them in a stable environment, which harbors positive behaviors from the dog. Many times, a dog will remain in our program for months, until the right environment is found. CPR believes that quality over rides quantity. We advocate responsible pet ownership and believe that education is key to providing wayward canines a strong and successful life. We believe that canines can be therapists, teachers, motivators, and friends and the love of the DOG carries us to the goal of rescuing, rehabilitating, and training these misplaced canines. We are a small group, made up of various rescue individuals that assume the responsibility of caring for, providing medical care, rehabilitating, and training misplaced or owner surrendered canines. Many of the dogs within the organization have been mishandled or placed in the wrong environment and are in desperate need of mental stimulation, training, and a proper structure in their lives.
