Help us, Help Maddie!

Maddie is currently in Ensenada under the care of great humans but they have too many dogs under their care and could really use the help with Maddie. We would love to help them and Maddie to find a forever family. We are primarily looking for a foster family for Maddie so we can get her to San Diego to follow up medical like blood work, spay, microchip, etc as those are typically done in San Diego side. We don't have a foster available to take on a medium adult never the less one that 'looks' like Maddie. We were told she is a shepherd mix but we believe she is an adorable PERFECTLY sized medium breed at only 35 pounds?! who is likely a huge supermutt with all kinds of breeds in her so its hard to label her breed but we are sure she would have some bully breed like pit or staffie etc. Hence anyone interested in Helping MADDIE should have no problem with breeds and just looking for a fantastic loving sweet young adult medium size rescue who needs a hand.

This is what we know about her from her rescuers who currently care for her:

Rescue Story:
Maddie was abandoned along with her 9 puppies in the front gate of a known animal rescuer. The puppies were about 4 weeks old back in 6/10/23 when they left them behind.   The rescuer is no longer able to help animals and is focusing on finding homes for the ones she has under her care for financial and personal family reasons and is sadly not actively rescuing anymore, hence requesting help with Maddie.
(She is just taking care of the dogs she has now about 25) and trying to place the adoptable ones.
The 9 puppies were taken by a group in San Diego that works as a adoption center but they didn't want Maddie and here is where ARWOB comes into place who would like to take in Maddie but we need a foster or foster to adopt home to step up.

Maddie Temperament:
Maddie is a very social doggo that lives at the shelter and gets along well with other dogs.  She is not crate trained but shares an enclosure with other dogs in her group.
She is familiar with the leash but she is not leash proficient. She is not a barker.

Want to meet and maybe help us, help Maddie? first step is to submit an application online to adopt or foster her and we can make arrangements to bring her across to san diego. We hope to hear from you soon!

More about this rescue

The A.R.W.O.B. group is based in San Diego, CA and operates mostly in Mexico as well as Southern California and will come to the aid of any animal in need which crosses our path. Our belief is to do what we can in order to “Make a difference in their lives.” From experience we have observed and feel the companion animals of Mexico are in the greatest need and accordingly we focus much of our efforts in Baja, Mexico. However, we certainly extend our help to our north of the border critters by accepting relinquished family pets, exiting both dogs and cats from the shelters of San Diego and of course by working in conjunction with other animal rescue groups in the community

Visit our website www.ARWOB.org to learn more about us.
