My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our handsome Leo!

This loveable guy is a 1½ year old Labrador Retriever mix. He is fully grown at 40 lbs and 21” tall to the shoulder.

Leo sports an awesome smile which perfectly matches his cheerful, friendly personality! This boy LOVES humans, children included, and he oozes with affection when you give him scratchies and pets. He has proven himself to be quite the charmer at his rescue shelter in Guadalajara! He is social and engages easily with all the staff, visitors, and other doggies too.

Leo’s energy level will be a good match for the average person/family because he has a great balance of playful energy and calm sweetness. Leo will be an awesome outdoor companion for fun activities and also a perfect indoor companion for cuddles and movie nights.

We know that Leo gets along well with other dogs, but he doesn’t have any experience with cats. If needed, we could request a cat test to introduce him to a feline friend.

Leo was rescued from a life of homelessness on the streets of Mexico. He had taken refuge in someone’s garage but the resident dogs there made it very clear they didn’t want another dog on their territory. This is how Leo came into the care of the rescue - he has been living at the rescue shelter since June, waiting patiently for his perfect person to come along and scoop him up.
