My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hobie!

🌟 A Story of Triumph and Resilience 🌟

Hobie's journey to Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue was one of incredible resilience and transformation. He emerged from a harrowing situation, where he was one of 60 dogs in a hoarding situation, where they were left to fend for themselves, breeding, and even fighting. Despite the hardships he endured, Hobie's spirit remained unbroken.

💔 From Shut Down to Opening Up 💖

When Hobie first arrived at the rescue, his spirit had been dimmed by his past. He was initially so shut down that he had to be carried everywhere, and he couldn't bring himself to make eye contact with anyone. It was clear that he had experienced more than his fair share of hardships.

🧡 A Heart of Gold 🧡

What sets Hobie apart is his incredible resilience and innate kindness. Despite the challenges he faced, he never displayed any signs of aggression. His gentle nature and forgiving spirit have been a source of inspiration to all who have had the privilege of caring for him.

🐶 Finding Comfort in Canine Companionship 🐶

Hobie's transformation truly began to take shape when he found solace in the company of another dog in his foster home. Their companionship has been nothing short of remarkable. Hobie is learning to trust, and his newfound canine friend has played a significant role in helping him come out of his shell.

🏡 Looking for a Forever Home 🏡

Hobie is now on the path to healing, and he's ready to find a forever home where he can continue his journey of recovery and growth. He's looking for a patient and loving family who can provide him with the safe and nurturing environment he deserves.

🐾 Join Hobie on His Journey 🐾

If you're someone who believes in second chances and has the heart and compassion to offer Hobie the love and support he needs, he will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and gratitude. Together, you can help this resilient soul continue his remarkable journey from hardship to happiness.

Hobie's story is a testament to the resilience of dogs and the power of love to heal even the deepest wounds. Will you be the one to give Hobie the forever home he so deserves? Come meet him at Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue and be part of his incredible transformation.

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
