Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi. I am Rupert. My name means "bright fame. Not sure the name applies to be since I am not famous but foster mom does say I am very bright so maybe it partially fits?
I am an elderly dog, 9 pounds, male yorkie who was found wandering by a Good Samaritan that took me to an overcrowded shelter. The shelter reached out to local rescues and I ended up with my foster mom and a whole crew of unruly yorkie foster siblings who think they run the house. The crew of yorkies are very friendly towards me but I don't seem to know how to play with them and I am pretty timid so I keep my distance. Foster Mom thinks I might have been an only child in my previous life.
I am timid around dogs but love my humans and snuggling. I like going on car rides and for walks. I also love treats and will do just about anything for one. I am crate trained and am working on potty training. I do well when I am on a regular potty schedule.
I am heartworm negative and appear to be in good health. I came into the rescue with a set of nasty teeth but I just got a dental and had to have some teeth removed. That hasn't stopped me from eating though! I love my softened kibble and treats.
As you can see, I am a great dog that would make a loving companion for a lucky somebody. I like to Netflix and chill and would love to chill with you. So, if you are looking for a laid back, timid fella, I'm your guy. Have your peeps call my peeps and I'll rush right over.
