She's athletic and raring to go on walks or runs, but can also be a total couch potato and just wants to snuggle. Georgia is eager to please and food motivated, so she's easy to train and will learn your commands in no time. And did we mention that she's great with other dogs? Size: approx 35-40lbs. Training: leash trained, crate trained, doing great with housetraining. She knows sit and down, and is eager to please. Good with dogs/cats? Yes to dogs, unsure about cats. Good with men/women/kids? Georgia can be shy/reserved when meeting new people/new situations, but she warms up. She is very food motivated! Personality: Georgia is playful, friendly, and loving. She is very loyal. Georgia was rescued from a kill shelter after being surrendered by her owners. She would do best with a fenced yard or a place to run off leash. When on a leash, she coughs/hacks. It is the only time she does it. We walk her on a harness but haven't found one that doesn't press on the throat area. After a visit to our vet, our vet believes Georgia has scar tissue in her throat from something in her past. It doesn't affect her at all but because of this, we believe a fenced yard or a safe area to run off leash is best for her. Reason for rescue: rescued from kill shelter. Georgia is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives.
