My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Cassie and I am 2 years old. I spent my first year of life as a barn dog on a farm with livestock until I was rehomed to a family with five children. I'm very tolerant of young children and don't mind being used as a cushion. I love being with people and I get along well with the other dogs. I have a submissive temperament. I am very well behaved indoors. I don't counter surf or get in the trash. I am crate trained, house trained, leash trained, and I ride well on the car. My previous owner says that I am service dog qualified for training but I am not service dog trained. I know the commands heel, sit, come, and no. I have a low to medium energy range and like to spend most of my day just hanging out on the couch or in my crate with the door open. I rarely ever bark. I'm shy of new people and my previous owner says that I will go behind the furniture until I am comfortable with them. I am a loyal companion eager to go to a home that I can call my own again! Belly rubs are a must!

I am spayed, up to to date with my rabies and dhpp vaccines, and I'm heartworm negative. Copies of my veterinary records will accompany me. My AKC record and pedigree are also available.

I am fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. The fosters phone number will be provided once an application is approved.
